Student who take Physical Science during their first year of high school, students have the opportunity to receive credit for a lab science course. This allows students to have a total of three lab science courses on their final transcripts, given they also take Biology and Chemistry. In order to fulfill the lab science credit requirement for graduation in California, students must take at least Physical Science and Biology, making it imperative to include these two courses in their schedule.
